Omar Ali, Social Media Officer of the Egyptian American Society Inc., an Egyptian-American born in Crown Point, Indiana. His family moved to Houston shortly after where he spent the majority of his life. He was raised in the Katy suburbs of Houston where he graduated high school. While in college, he worked with a group of volunteers to raise USD 25,000 humanitarian aid in Syria. He also served as the president of the Muslim Student Association at the University of Houston and managed raise USD 15,000 for events and activities. In this time, Omar focused on keeping an open-minded religious society while pushing for social and charity-based events. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering while working as a full-time engineer with National Oilwell Varco. Every year or so, Omar goes back to Egypt to spend quality time in Maadi with extended family and friends. His hobbies include volunteering, cycling, and traveling. Sarah Raslan

Sarah Raslan, Chief Editor of Egyptian American Society Inc., born in Cairo and raised in Houston. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Political Science with minors in History and Public Relations.Raslan, a published journalist, has written for the Houston Chronicle, the Associated Press, and Egypt's Ahram Online covering topics ranging from politics to crime. Her Twitter account was live streaming on the Houston Chronicle and the Huffington Post's homepages during the Egyptian Revolution. Sarah is currently a Technical Writer/Project Engineer for Halliburton Energy Services and a freelance journalist. The 25-year-old moved to Houston with her family at the age of six. Sarah lived in Cairo, Egypt from 2011-2014 where she married her husband Wael, Senior Project Manager at Halliburton, and started a family. Maggy Ibrahim, Writers Officer of Egyptian American Society Inc., Egyptian American born and raised in Michigan. At the age of 12, she moved to 6 of October City, Egypt. She attended Cairo American College (CAC) located in Maadi. Junior year of high school she moved to Bahrain where she attended Bahrain School. Senior year, she moved back to Egypt and graduated from CAC in 2010. She later moved to College Station, TX where she enrolled at Texas A&M University majoring in International Studies with a focus in International Politics and Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa. She also spent a semester at The University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan to expand her Arabic studies in 2012. Upon graduation from Texas A&M in 2013, she moved to Houston, TX. Maggy plans to move to East Lansing, MI in August 2015 to pursuit her MBA at Michigan State University. Her hobbies consist of foreign affairs, international travel, and community involvement. Hebatallah Mohamed, got her bachelor of arts in Integrated Marketing Communication from the American University in Cairo in 2011, throughout which she did several professional internships in PR and Marketing in companies like Bavarian BMW and MERIC. She also has an extensive volunteer experience in on and off campus extracurricular activities as well as community service volunteer work, such as volunteering in Alashanek ya Balady organization in the program of erasing illiteracy (mahw el omeya) for the elders and organizing events for the youth community of Ein El Sera. Additionally, being an active member of Resala organization by teaching kids the English and math curriculum for grade 3 and 4. Hebatallah has been in the U.S since 2012 and has done volunteer work in education and childcare in Barbra Bush center in College Station, TX. She is a mother of two boys and currently residing in College Station, TX where she intends to pursue her marketing career.
